Green and Gold is an easy choice for any moist area that needs weed suppression. This cheery plant has a mat-like habit that is perfect as a groundcover along shady paths, between shrubs, or among other taller perennials. This variety (var. australe) has a particularly prostrate form that spreads readily through aboveground stolons. In late spring, its fuzzy leaves are topped by a blanket of bright yellow flowers that peak in mid-spring and then bloom sporadically throughout the summer and fall.
